Investigation of the Planar Shock Reflection–to–Diffraction on a Wedge with a Vertical Fin / 平面震波於楔形體與垂直鰭片模型所產生反射-繞射現象之探討

碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 航空太空工程學系碩博士班 / 92 / The study of normal shock wave reflected on the wedges of 50° and 35°,respectively,with an overhanging vertical fin with incident shock Mach number of 1.30 to 1.69 has been done in the shock tube facility of Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in National Cheng-Kung University. The reflection-to-diffraction process of incident normal shock on the vertical fin generates a vortex over the tip of the vertical fin. The reflection-to-diffraction process by the reflected shock generates a shading of vortices is behind the fin.The first vortex generated by the shear stress stays stationary on the tip of the fin. The second rolled-up of shading vortices were generated by the flow separation on tip of fin. With the increasing of the incident shock wave,it is expected the vorticity in the flow field will increase accordingly. The flow visualization shows that the first vortex was observed more well organized, and both density gradient and pressure gradient of flow field near the vortex should be larger. The measured results confirm that a greater pressure rise around the vortex than other places.Regular reflection-to -diffraction process on a vertical fin generates a greater pressure rise. Conversely,Mach reflection-to-diffraction process on a vertical fin generates a less pressure rise.
