碩士 / 國防管理學院 / 國防資訊研究所 / 92 / It is so narrow for the territory of R.O.C but the territory water is wide. Therefore it is very important for communication between the remote districts and Taiwan Island.
Nowadays the communication develops from the type of two wires to optical fiber and such as integrating the signals from voice, data and video to Asynchronous Transfer Mode(ATM). We find the communication can not get the QoS because the infrastructure of R.O.C is scantier than Korea and Japan, remote districts especially. The Pratas and Spratly Islands which has been governed by CGA since January 2000 communicate to Taiwan Island with satellite and HF radio communication system. The satellite system use ST-1 to perform voice and data communication which waste more budget due to the circuits are independent. So in this study we will discuss the solution about gaining QoS to support remote districts in fixed budget and less equipment, even improve the communication effect.
There are various technologies to support satellite network in the world. We will focus on the ATM and VSAT technologies in this study because they are mature for satellite network so that improve the problem of remote districts. In the solution, we can provide the high quality of communication to government of R.O.C and people who live in remote districts to communicate with others.
