碩士 / 國立高雄第一科技大學 / 運輸倉儲營運所 / 92 / The transportation system performance plays an important role in the development of Taiwan economy. Yet, traffic accident frequencies continue to increase especially for trucks. Therefore, the government has started to introduce the intelligent transportation system (ITS) to solve the traffic problem.
The automatic vehicle location system (AVLS) is the one component of the ITS. According to prior research, the monitor function of the AVLS can not only auto-correct driver behavior simultaneously during observation, but also improve efficiency of fleet management.
This study applies the logit model to forecast the market shares of the AVLS in the logistics company by stated preference method. The determinants are distinguished between the revealed and latent variables. The three latent variables include norm and perceived ease of use (PEOU) and perceived usefulness (PU) based on the technology acceptance model (TAM). The structural equation modeling (SEM) was applied to verify the relationship between the latent variables. Our result shows all of the three latent variables have positive influence on behavior intention. Reveal variables include social variables, cost and time saving. Empirical study finds statistically significant determinants are system purchasing cost, fleet scale, perceived usefulness, time saving, communication cost which shows a market shares of AVLS system will reach 38%.
