碩士 / 國立高雄師範大學 / 地理學系 / 92 / “Hamasen”, because the geography condition, ocean is the most important resources in the life. To know about Hamasen have to discuss the fishery activities between local people and ocean. For the firstly developing place of Kaohsiung, the history stories deeply influence this region and become the key issue to understand it. This paper try to descript the fishery operation changes from early traditional coastal to Japan-colonized modern dynamic. These expand the space and culture develope- ment of the Hamasen due to time shift.
Through the activities happen in harbor. So what the activities is the fishery. Fishery activities happen in the land and the ocean regions include management; marketing and sales. By use kinds of transportation to ship the fish product to every markets complete the cycle of people-ocean-fishery. Fishery changes through the technics; resources and information. Technical developement promote the traditional coastal and near coastal fishery to open sea. Fishery products transport to oversea bases through the ocean-going vessels and transportation tools in land to the markets.
Finally through the cases of interview illustrate how a small company of two men, only capital five million dollars a ship of 120 ton change to a big, professional, transnational company. From case study we found the tools, method in fishery deeply influenced by Japan in colonization time. Even today the fish products almost transport to Japan markets. The manager of fishery depends on his own experience and times background create the Hamasen fishery mode. Now the Hamasen fishery already migrates to oversea bases comply with time and technical changes to form a completely land to sea networks. Traditional fishery is disappeared by place of modern management fishery.
