A Study of Maintenance Management System for Wharf Structure / 碼頭構造物維護管理系統之研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 河海工程學系 / 92 / The length of Taiwan’s coastline is over to 1,500 kilometers. There are more then two hundreds ports in Taiwan. Average 3.5 typhoons strike Taiwan every year; they cause serious damage to breakwaters and the wharves. Moreover, Taiwan locates at the Link Pacific Ocean Seismic Belt. The 921 Earthquake of 1999 caused Taichung Port serious damage. Therefore, to set up a maintenances management system for the wharf is important.
This research studies the amount of wharf structure type of top 5 commercial ports, including Keelung Port, Kaohsiung Port, Taichung Port, Suao Port, and Hualien Port. The finding is the ratio of trestle type wharf, sheet-pile type wharf, and gravity type wharf are more than 90% among these five ports. This research focus on three kinds of wharf structures. The inspective project, inspective items, and evaluation method were proposed which can provides inspective checklist for inspectors.
In addition, this research set up a maintenance management system for wharf structure by Access 2002, which includes three major functions. They are management system of wharf information, information system of wharf inspection result, and statistical information for wharf, and each function has its relevant detail function to select. Up to today, this research has already collected 259 wharves’ basic information and partial inspection results of Taiwan’s top 5 commercial ports. In the near future, we hope it can help engineer or academician to collect wharf structure information more easily and efficiently.
