The factor affecting Taiwan's tramp chartering enterprises' intention to use E-marketplace / 影響台灣散裝航運租傭船業者使用電子交易市集意願因素之研究

It has been increasingly popular in the recent years and has been regarded to possess great potential in business circles, including tramp shipping industry which is one of traditional industries. Nevertheless, there has not existed a successful e-marketplace in tramp shipping market so far. It thus needs to find out the acceptability of e-marketplace in the field of tramp shipping industry. This Study aims to explore those elements, which affect the parties’ intention to use e-marketplace and the relation between such a intention conducted by those persons and enterprises trading in the field. This study, therefore, classifies relevant factors into six dimensions, i.e. legal factor, safety factor, information factor, cost factor, service factor and technical factor. For those persons trading in this field, this study has considered the factors of their seniority, age, job position and the economic scale of the company, which they belong to. This study then analyzes those data collected from the reply to the questionnaire in order to provide useful suggestions on the method for improving or establishing e-marketplace for tramp shipping.
