The comparisons of catching efficiency of black porgy (Acanthopagrus schlegeli) season by using trammel net and gill net / 黑鯛漁期三層刺網與單層刺網之漁獲物比較

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 環境生物與漁業科學學系 / 92 / Abstract

This investigation was taken during the fishing season of black porgy in the coastal water of Putai. We use the gill net (mesh sizes: 9.4, 9.8, 10.7, 11.3 and 11.8cm) and trammel net (inner panel mesh size: 10.3cm) to carry the compare experiments and the gill net size selectively investigate of black porgy out.

The result divided six kinds of nets into two groups. First group is the mesh size 11.8cm, 11.3cm, 10.7cm and 9.8cm of gill net which have better selectivity. Second group is the mesh size 9.4cm of gill net and trammel net which have a worse selectivity of species, especially for trammel net which have higher catch rate. The commercial/total (C/T) values of each net are over 0.82.

It can get better economic benefits if choosing the appropriate mesh size of the gill net during the fishing season of black porgy. The proper mesh size is 10.3cm determined by selectivity curve.

Key word: Gill net, Trammel net, Selectivity, Black porgy (Acanthopagrus schlegeli).
