Research on transportation strategy of Industrial Gas Business ─ a case study of “A” Company for delivering the Cryogenic Tanker product. / 工業氣體業之運輸策略研究--以”A”公司(罐體式產品運輸)為例

The competition pressure grows up rapidly in global industry. The CEO of enterprise must be facing not only more and more outstanding rival domestically, but also shall cautious about the strong competitiveness and impact of foreign enterprise. It is the most important duty for the CEO at the moment. How to company make most effective integration, whatever try to use limited resource of enterprise, or cost down to improve company competitiveness then obtain the greatest profits which all will be under the environment change quickly and intense competition. The purpose of enterprises management is trying to utilize the limited resources, combine professional technique and human resource, and use tactics management and administration to create the outstanding accomplishment, finally to obtain the maximum profit and keep sustainable running continuously.
There are two strategies for transportation strategy on the enterprise: vertical integration strategy and outsourcing strategy. How do make a choice of transportation strategy, and how to increase the competition capability, there all are challenge to enterprise, which is chosen to execute vertical integration strategy. And whatever company decides integrating vertical strategy or subcontractor there all shall depend on external suppliers integration and related products cost simultaneously, and the same time the policy maker also need to balance agreement benefits and risk.
I hope to research the execution of Vertical integration strategy in extensive vision for transportation. This research is a case study, which name is “A” company in Industrial Gas Business.
Research results and discovery as follow:
1. The Company prefers to the Vertical integration strategy, which carry out the transportation safety and reliability of product delivery, and also response rapidly to the activities of customer supply chain.
2. The Company transportation activities execute the Vertical integration strategy that can improve the value of products chain effectively in schedule arrangement.
3. Executing Vertical integration Strategy in distribution activities of enterprise those are via functional level competitive strategy. The transportation Competitive Advantage results is equal to other competitors in efficiency and quality aspect, but is lower than in innovation aspect, and is customer response aspect it is superior to other opponents.
4. Enterprise execute Vertical integration Strategy should reinforce the performance of Distribution department management that is to apply whole KPI (Cost efficiency, cost effectiveness, service effectiveness, safety effectiveness, personnel performance, maintenance performance)
