This study is trying to find out the key success factors and evaluate the effectiveness of E-learning on pilot training, using questionnaire survey and in-depth interview. The case of a Taiwanese airline is taken as example.
Using quantitative and qualitative data, firstly I compare the difference between traditional learning and E-learning. Secondly, I evaluate the effectiveness of pilot training after applying E-learning by using Kirtrick 4 level model ( reaction、learning、behavior and result) . At the latest stage, try to analyze the pilots’satisfactory on E-learing with their different background. The results of this survey include :
The pilots agree the courses on E-learning platform is easy to understand and are satisfied on flexible study time.
1. Medium to high level of satisfactory are given to learning platform and high level to their E-learning experience.
2. Course design is considered to follow the learning goal, agree the platform interface is sufficient and easy to use.
3. Different acceptance of E-learning with different pilot background.
4. As to Kirkpatrick 4 level model, above medium level of satisfactory is given on initial reaction level, fail rate of pilots’written test drops when checking the learning level, minor change can be seen on behavior level but it requires more observation to discover the trend, finally high ROI of 203% as a pretty good ending on result level.
