碩士 / 玄奘大學 / 企業管理學系碩士班 / 93 / Though the development of business ethics studies has existed for a long period of time, it was neglected due to the high economic growth and development for the past few years. However, this issue evokes extensive discussion again when the slow economic growth of the recent years causes successive frauds and defalcation scandals from well-known global and domestic corporations. In US and Europe, the development of business ethics is becoming very prevalent and getting more and more attention. In Taiwan and Mainland China, on the other hand, business ethics is still unpopular along with continuous problems. Therefore, it is imperative to advocate the cross-strait business ethics. Although the people in Taiwan and China all belong to the same ethic group, they differ considerably in thinking, logic, value, and behaviors after being separated for several decades. Thus, the studies exploring the differences in cross-strait business ethics will have certain research value and assist the high-tech industry in promoting managerial skills as well as to reduce investment and management risk in the PRC.
These sample objects of this research are cross-strait high-tech companies and their employees. Then use questionnaire survey and various statistical methods to find out the degree of importantce on business ethics from the employees in high-tech industries and hope to provide evidence-based result as reference to other researchers, organizations or business in the future.
According to the statistics, this research finds out that the cross-strait cognition on business ethics differ greatly after several decades’ separation, despite same ethic group. Population variable, organization scale variable, and location variable also vary in each business ethics subject, particularly corporate social responsibility. To sum up, the employees in Taiwan’s high-tech industry take much importantce on business ethics than ones in the PRC.
Take a comprehensive view of above-mentioned, if the high-tech industry can accomplish the business ethics and prize the company police ethics ; it will promote the ethics of individual in high-tech industry ,in the meanwhile , the management function ethics of the delegation in mainland region can make the development on Taiwanese’s high-tech industry.
