The Determinants of the Business Group’s Subsidiaries investments in China: An Empirical Study in Taiwan / 台灣集團企業海外佈局中國比重之影響緣由探討

碩士 / 義守大學 / 管理研究所碩士班 / 93 / The international geographic diversification is a key issue for international business research. Besides the location choice focus on the choice of a specific location, the location allocation in a specific location can manifest the resource allocation of MNC among geography, and indicate the strategic direction of this MNC.
Using secondary data analysis, this research tries to explore the possible determinants of business groups’ subsidiary in China from the resource, experience and ownership structure consideration. The result reveals that the older the business group, the country-specific experience in China, and the family-owned characteristic all significantly influence the percentage of subsidiary in China. This research not only expands the possible issues in international diversification, but also provides valuable suggestions in China research.
