A Study of Employee Quality Consciousness on Job Involvement: Comparison Between Taiwan and China / 兩岸員工品質意識與工作投入之研究─以大台北與大上海電子業為例

involvement between Taiwan and China. The purposes of this study are as below:
1. to integrate and coordinate the perspectives on quality consciousness by various scholars
and in an attempt to re-define Quality Consciousness;
2. to prove that high Quality Consciousness leads to high Job Involvement.
3. to probe the effect of different regions on the relationship and influence of quality
consciousness on job involvement.
The research findings are as follows:
1. This study defines Quality Consciousness as: “The organization continuously
communicate to employees in order to stimulate individual perception as well as behavior
on the common perspective that ‘everything got to be done right at the first time’;
furthermore, the individuals will then have deep concern for the product or service
quality.”
2. Based on the empirical study, the job involvement is significantly influenced by quality
consciousness in almost every stage, except on awakening stage. Therefore, it indicates
that high employee quality consciousness leads to high job involvement.
3. The relationship of quality consciousness on three aspects (working avoiding, the
honorable spirit in work and working enjoyment) of job involvement is significantly and
negatively disturbed by the moderating variable of region.
