Study on Development of a XML-Based Purchase Order Specification System for the Shipyard / 以XML為基礎建立船舶採購規範系統之研究

碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 系統及船舶機電工程學系碩博士班 / 93 / ABSTRACT
After discussed by owners and designers, all the ship building information is almost decided already. Then the information, such as the specification, might be based on the original specification and modified with other designers’ different demands. Now, the specification documents are mostly without structural contents, so it is difficult to select which content we need. If those electronic documents enable to be utilized well, then the efficiency will increase.
The equipments of shipbuilding are full of variety and the amount even more than several hundred kinds. Each single equipment needs a document “POS (Purchase Order Specification)” to describe its property, to which specification’s content can quickly transact to the data. This study is to develop an XML-based Purchase Order Specification System which can produce POS with the XML structural content, and save a lot of manpower. To use XSL technology shows different formats in every process.
In order to exploit XML characteristic, this e-Purchase Order Specification System has also used Ontology and RDF (Resource Description Framework) technology, which can detailed describe every relation between the file and file in the workflow. Through this system, document makers can connect each other for the coordination work. Besides making POS, this system also can analyze the owner’s comments and get response that we need to do.
