碩士 / 國立中央大學 / 土木工程研究所 / 93 / This study set up an ecological observation station in the Yufeng flow gauge by the river bank of the Yu Feng River. An underwater video camera was used to observe habitat situation and emergence frequency of fish species. The hydrology data provided by Northern Region Water Resources office, Water Resources Agency Ministry of Economic Affairs, were analyzed to get level-discharge rating curve via nonlinear regression. Then the average flow velocity and the average water depth can be obtained sequentially. Comparative studies of cross section parts photoed by camera and the total section of Yu Feng River was evaluated to investigate the average flow velocity and the average water depth in the observation window. Finally the fish form emergence frequency to habitat suitability is normalized (on a scale from 0 to 1). The study utilized the average velocity and water depth pictured by underwater video camera to establish the curve of habitat suitability, aiming at fish in Yu Feng River. Moreover, this habitat suitability curve was examined to compare with different fishes and different methods devised by other researches.
