Analysin of algae composition on the PVC wave plate and its rebuilding techniques from the abalone larvae pond / 九孔鮑附苗板藻類相分析與重建技術

碩士 / 國立屏東科技大學 / 水產養殖系 / 93 / Recently the larval abalone adhesive on the PVC wave plate was found to be easily fallen down from the plate within 2-weeks during the artificial propagation. In general, the influent factors are considered as bad water quality. detriment of poison algae. bacteria infection and deficiency of algal feed. This study was focused on the isolation and cultivation of larval abalone feed( micro diatoms ) to try to conquer the problem. At the first, the micro diatoms for larval abalone feed should be isolated and then cultivated in a large amount as seed to larval abalone pond. A benthic micro diatoms was finally isolated form the coastal rocks and considered as a species of Achnanthes from it is morphological observation. The microdiatoms with the size of 8~10μm is just good for larval abalone feed. Before releasing the fertilized eggs of the abalone, the larval breeding ponds need cultivating the microdiatoms in advance. The microdiatom was adhesive to the PVC wave plate within 3 days; meanwhile, the fertilized eggs were released to the larval breeding pond. About 50 hrs later, the larval abalones were adhesive on the PVC wave plate and started eating the benthic microdiatoms. Therefore, the benthic micro- diatoms on the PVC wave plate should be rebuilt by adding the micro diatoms seed and nutrition agent to conpensate the consuming amount every week, meanwhile, the diatoms phase on the PVC wave plate also was analyzed to see the diatoms change during the entire process. This operation was carried out 35 days after releasing the fertilized eggs of abalone. The larval abalone on PVC wave plate was counted to 156 individual in average.
