Soil chronosequence on the marine terraces at Chungbin area, Taitung. / 台東長濱海階土壤之時間序列

碩士 / 國立屏東科技大學 / 環境工程與科學系 / 93 / It is helpful for understanding the movement of the earth crust, sea level fluctuation in climate change during Quaternary, and prediction earthquake in studying marine terrace. The seashore of Taitung is not only the most developed area of marine terrace, but also the most distributed of Mollisols and Vertisols in Taiwan. Marine terrace is ideal landscape to study soil chrnosequences. There is less study in soil chrnosequences of marine terrace in Taiwan. However, the marine terraces of Taitung were selected to study the soil chronosequence, including their special geological and soil environments. This report includes the results of the first project (from Seu-Ku-Leun River to Chungbin part). Results indicated that the soils on the first level were the oldest and developed well in morphology and physico-chemical properties ; the soils on the second level were relatively weak in Vertisols characteristics; the soils on the third level were the youngest without any B horizon developed.
