碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 水產養殖學系 / 93 / The purpose of this thesis fed diets with 2, 8 and 32 ppm of cortisone and 20-hydroxyecdysone during the 30 days culture period. To know the effects of dietary steroid hormones on PO activity and O2- production in the haemocytes, total haemocyte count (THC), Superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity in the hepatopancreas, Glutamate oxidacetate transaminase activity (GOT), Glutamate pyruvate transaminase activity (GPT), and plasma Cholesterol, Triglycerides, Total protein, Glucose and Cortisol concentrations of the white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei).
The results showed that THC, plasma Cholesterol and total protein concentrations in L. vannamei of experiment shrimps which were fed with cortisone and 20-hydroxyecdysone, were found lower than those of the control, and also have a dose-response. By contrary, SOD activity in the hepatopancreas, plasma GOT, GPT, Triglycerides and Glucose concentrations were all higher than those of the control, and also have dose-response effects.
Administration of cortisone, significantly increased plasma cortisol of experiment shrimps but no significantly was found in administration of 20-hydroxyecdysone. Furthermore, PO activity and O2- production were suppressed by administration of cortisone, Although the PO activity and O2- production in the haemocyte of L. vannamei was enhanced by low dose of 20-hydroxyecdysone in a short period, but a suppress effect of high dose administration was found during the while experiment period.
