碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 水產養殖學系 / 93 / The annual production of Tilapia is Highest one among all Taiwan’s aquaculture products. Although Taiwan was the top supplier of international Tilapia marketing before 2000, this marketing competition has been becoming more and more severe due to increasing competitors. To understand this marketing structure and therefore to evaluate its economic efficiency and superiority, a study was sampling and interviewing the domestic processors with certified HACCP(Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).
A series of results were obtained from our study. First of all, used a seasonal ARIMA models (Autoregressive Integrate Moving Average Models) to predict the monthly production of tilapia with two years. Our research findings suggest that cost of raw material has the highest contribution in terms of total cost, and increasing with output of the tilapia processing industry. Secondly, to meet the international requirement, Taiwan government will also put the farming and distributing systems into HACCP. At present time, the examination of chemical residues causes a limiting effect on the tilapia export. Consequently, improving the examination technique in chemical residues will avoid such interference caused by nontariff barriers. Finally, Taiwan government should integrate and coordinate all the subordinate systems to enhance the compatibility in tilapia marketing and therefore to make this industry sustainable in future.
