The methematical catch model of pots for spotted Babylonia areolate in the Laboratory / 象牙鳳螺籠漁具漁獲機制之室內實驗

In order to know the catch mechanism of basket of the Babylonia areolate, and to enhance the catch efficiency as a reference for the resource conservation and the management uses 30 Babylonia areolates to proceed with an experiment on a basis of five hours/per day, conducting a quality description and quantity analysis in related to the attracting effect upon different baits, the behavior model to catch Babylonia Areolate with diverse baskets, the daytime activities, and the escaping rate when the anti-escape device being or not being set. The findings are summarized as follows:

1. Use the cheap fish and the crab as the bait to attract the Babylonia Areolate, and the crap bait is much better in effect.
2. The catch with basket of the Babylonia Areolate made in China is better than that made in Taiwan.
3. The Babylonia Areolate is brisker at night, and the catch at night is higher.
4. Basket of the Babylonia Areolate with the anti-escape device is, in escaping rate, lower than the one without anti-escape device.
