碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 商船學系所 / 93 / Salvage as its unique, historical and international characters, has played a very important role in the marine industries. Salvage issues involve very widely. Disputes between Salvors and Shipowners arise very often and, therefore, to avoid this, Shipowners must realize Salvors’ operation and the relevant laws.
This study is to understand professional Salvors and uncover the trick behind Salvage Services under Salvage Contract. Recommend Shipowners an adequate way to handle salvage issues when needed on both legal and practical sides.
Furthermore, casualty analysis can also reveal a country’s special maritime characters and the present situation. Hope this will be of assistance for Shipowners to enhance ship’s safety.
