碩士 / 世新大學 / 傳播研究所(含博士班) / 93 / Mainland China, an absolutely divergent country from ours in both political system and ideology, in her long-term concentration of authority regime period, instilled an established set of value systems through various media, symbols, and activities to build identity in ideology. Thus this government not just manipulates media to motivate its people, and even controls them to construct monopoly in information delivering. To this extent, it is believed that mass media in Mainland China serves for political purposes as kind of tool for the class struggle, and the authority relies on controlling and indicating the climate of opinion to maintain her political power.
According to the research, the propagating tactics of the program " Both Sides of the Straits " of CCTV are more diversified than traditional media, but their purposes and manipulation techniques are not much different than before which are still advocating official policies and inculcating ideology acting the same as traditional media. At present, China is advancing positively in economic liberalization and country's modernization. In the foreign aspect, it pays attention to strengthening the realization of China with other countries, promoting communication and interflow via the broadcasting of CCTV- four, so as to help them to make benefits. In the internal aspect, their purpose is no more than maintaining a steady political environment, and accelerating its economical reforming and open up. In conclusion, the broadcasting via television is a quite useful tool for the central authorities of the Communist Party of China, however, their political mentality and method of thinking are still making no concessions or shifting their grounds.
According to the propaganda tactics of PROC that were concluded from the statistics, we found that its main propagate application of tactics , through the way of “frightened appealing,” declared its ideals of “One China” and “Taiwan for internal affairs issue of China” to emphasize constantly that “independence of Taiwan is the pronoun of the war,” to strengthen the frightened sense of war to our people, and to force our government to make friendly response and concession on the policies of two sides. On the other hand, by frequent interaction and the program contents of the people of two sides and root homology, and by flexible way on “emotional demand,” PROC draws the popular feelings of Taiwan over to one's side , impels the policy altogether among them, and exerts pressure to our government.
