A Metropolitan Transit Inquiry System / 都市大眾運輸諮詢系統

碩士 / 淡江大學 / 資訊工程學系 / 93 / Recently, as the traffic congestion increasingly, the variance of the travel time of highway transportation systems are more and more enlarging seriously. For improving the traffic degeneration, the dynamic bus information system(DBIS) is promoted by governments around the world to encourage the usage of the public transportation systems which are expected to control the usage of private vehicle, and hence reduce the traffic jams.
Up to now, however, the DBIS can’t provide the personalization route suggestions which include the transfer decision within bus system and between bus and MRT systems.
Because numerous optimization problems should be solved and a lot of the requests of mobile communication will be handled by the DBIS, centralized computer system would be insufficient. The distributed system is a better way to solve this problem. How to balance the load of such a distributed system is a crucial issue.
In this thesis, we proposed an approach for load-balancing under the environment of mobile communication. The empirical results show that the distributed load-balancing can transfer the excess of requests in the peak hours and enhance the throughput and efficiency of proposed system. In addition ,the numbers of region partition will effect the system response time of requests.
