The importance of the economic reform has become more outstanding resulted from the various international investments. As we all know, banking industry plays an important role of international business and transactions. Within banking industry, human capital also plays an important role. In order to improve the economic circumstances, Chinese government needs to reform the banking industry, and the human capital needs to adjust to the global challenges.
Shanghai is not only the most urbanized and modernized area in China, but also a world well-known city. The economic development in Shanghai is fast and changeable. Shanghai’s economic development has a great influence on China’s economic development, the same as the human capital to banking industry. This research focuses on the formation processes of human capital within Shanghai’s banking industry.
Data analysis and interviews are the major research tools in analyzing and evaluating Shanghai’s human capital of banking industry. The aim is to find and draw the possible future scenarios of Shanghai’s banking industry. The major findings are as follows: 1)the quantity of human capital of banking industry in Shanghai is enough, the quality of human capital of banking industry in Shanghai is needed to enhance; 2) the different characters of banks need different professional specialty workers; 3)following the data and information, researcher finds four possible future scenarios for Shanghai’s banking industry.
