The Organizational Networks in the Air Transportation Industries: The Case of Kaoshiung International Airport / 航空運輸產業組織網絡關係:以高雄國際航空站為例

In the current age of globalization, air transportation industries are not only an important node for world’s industrial networks, but it is also a substantial link for support of other modern industries. The characteristics that define the air transportation industry are much different when compared to other industries. And so, each country tries to develop air transportation as best as they can. Taiwan has been developing air transportation industries over the past fifty years. In recent years, due to compliance to government policies, the air transportation industries have become very vigorous. Taiwan’s geographical position is ideal for international air transportation, and also the domestic Taiwan air transportation is also one of our most important transportation industries. So, if we can perform well in managing the air transportation industries, we can make our country as competitive as any other country.
This study builds a model air transportation industrial network by analyzing the relationship of the organizational networks. It also tries to understand the affect of the network relationship to the industries by analyzing Kaoshiung International Airport. And finally, it will make conclusions about what direction our future policies should take.
