Because the environmental protection becomes important and extends widely, wet scrubber that canceling various exhaust pollution is taken serious and necessary. And this method is not used in diesel engine emissions reducing very often. For this reason, we will investigate how wet scrubber to improve in marine diesel engine emissions reducing in the dissertation. Using seawater which is easy to get as the major nebula for absorbing exhaust fume.
In this dissertation, there are six different conditions are investigated and analyzed with diesel engine emissions (CO、CO2、NOx、sootiness). This experiment proved that wet scrubber must have some effects for engine emissions. In addition, the engines of current ships are fixed, so they can not be started in combustion condition to reduce engine emissions. Moreover, the cost is higher than wet scrubber. Therefore, we regard seawater as the major nebula to be diesel engine emissions reducing appointment.This method not only makes marine diesel engine emissions reach the standard but saving the cost.
