years. Sewerage system is regarded as an important infrastructure in the country.
By observations and interviews, only CPM and S-curve were used for determining
the progress without clear sequence of trades when the Sewer Household
Connection Construction (SHCC) was in progress. Based on the two construction
features of SHCC – (1) Repetitive Project and (2) No clear sequence of trades
between lane and lane, this research applied Genetic Algorithm (GA) characterized
with multipoint searching power to schedule SHCC. The SHCC in Kaohsiung city
was applied as a study case to this research, which emphasizes the work starting
time of construction crew and work continuity, and was approached by
considering the productivity and construction quantity. In conclusion, a set of
combination of the crew and sequence of trades are developed in this research to
accord with the demands of construction period.
