碩士 / 國立屏東科技大學 / 工業管理系 / 94 / In recent years, due to petering out of petrochemical fuel and soaring international oil price the coming of protracted high oil price age and the development of ocean thermal energy conversion are unavoidable. The advantage of ocean thermal energy conversion includes not only the self-produced regenerating energy and reduced energy imported from foreign country but also the utilization of clean and nutritious deep sea water after power generating system in producing the merchandise of high added-valve as well as reduction of the cost of ocean thermal energy conversion. In addition to these, if accelerated development is achieved, ocean thermal energy conversion can provide the benefit of able to be integrated with tourism and entertainment industry, to be used for developing local industry and multiple purpose utilization that can enhance added-valve of all the whole industry, and therefore can greatly help local economics development and industrial promotion. In this paper the research is based on a small scale deep sea water ocean thermal energy conversion power station built by a company which is integrated with the business of aquatic farming, beverages water manufacturing, tourism and entertainment industry. The evaluation model for cost-benefits of investment is formulated for evaluating the costs and benefits of multiple purpose utilization of deep sea water. The evaluation results can be used as a reference for introducing the industries related to ocean thermal energy conversion. And, based on the result of economic benefits analysis a discussion on the feasibility of multiple utilization of ocean thermal energy conversion is made, and relevant suggestion is provided to the investors as a reference.
