碩士 / 國立中山大學 / 海洋生物科技暨資源學系研究所 / 94 / Three new sesquiterpene compounds were isolated from the extract of soft coral Xenia sp. collected at Green Island in Taiwan. 8-epi- xenitorin A (1) is a cadinane skeleton compound which consists of two 6 membered-ring, three methyl groups, two double bonds and a secondary hydroxyl group;10-epi-xenitorin C (2) is a cadinane skeleton compound which comprises two 6 membered-rings, three methyl groups, two double bonds and a tertially hydroxyl group;7-isopropenyl-4,10-dimethyl -2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-naphthalene (3) contains a 6 membered-ring and a benzene moiety, three methyl groups, and a double bond. The structures of three new compounds were determined by spectroscopic and chemical methods. These compounds were tested against a panel of human tumor cell lines.
A tricyclic sesquiterpene named capnellene-8β, 10α-diol (4) was isolated from the extract of soft coral capnella sp. collected at Green Island in Taiwan. It was acylated to yield ten new derivatives. And then these derivatives were isolated and purified. The structures of these compounds including 10α-hydroxy,8β-O -benzoyl capnellene (5), 10α-hydroxy,8β-O-p-toluoyl capnellene (6), 10α-hydroxy,8β-O-4-
chlorobenzoyl capnellene (7), 10α-hydroxy,8β-O-2-furoyl capnellene (8), 10α-hydroxy,8β-O-2-thiophenecarbonyl capnellene (9), 10α-hydroxy,8β-O-4-fluorobenzoyl capnellene (10), 10α-hydroxy,8β-O-4-propylbenzoyl capnellene (11), 10α-hydroxy,8β-O-cinnamoyl capnellene (12), 10α-hydroxy,8β-O-4-nitrobenzoyl capnellene-8β, 10α-diol (13), 10α-hydroxy,8β-O-p-anisoyl capnellene (14) were identified by spectroscopic methods. These compounds were tested against a panel of human tumor cell lines. The structure-activity relationship of these derivatives was also discussed.
