The Interaction and Symbiosis of Multi-community and Adaptive Reuse of Deserted Spaces-An Application to Nan Hai Gallery in the National Taipei University of Education / 多社群「互動-共生」與閒置空間再利用之經營---以國立台北教育大學南海藝廊為例

碩士 / 國立臺北教育大學 / 藝術與藝術教育學系碩士班 / 95 / In Huashan Art district, Taipei , some artists inaugurated the history of reuse of the deserted space in Taiwan by parades, resistance and dramatic performance in 1997. The deserted space, different from the new building, has its own special history and has displayed wonderfully whether in practical management or in academic discussion by means of Taiwan Art Group’s active operation the last ten years. Because of the operation of creative culture industry, the space is reactivated and attempted to form a new cultural environment, which is both concrete and immaterial culture assets. This kind of culture creation is not only a need of life but also an art of life.
This study mainly adopted interview and questionnaire. Investigating on art community, management community , as well as visitors by questionnaire tends to understand the up-and-coming art space making the most of contemporary art and various thought, and to treat values and problems of the deserted space reused which becomes the center of contemporary art in the network of participators. By the case study in Nan-Hai Gallery, to search and combine the useful ones in the environmental resources in existence has the space energy expanded and enforced on account of the operation of contemporary art. Meanwhile the communities can not only make a profit in the process of interaction but attain the goal of sustainable management. Furthermore the truly bottom-up discussion of social culture action can be developed by making art activities communitize, and it makes brand-new contemporary art space result in a great influence on the society.
In conclusion, according to analysis in the study, five points focusing on the space are mentioned as follows: the main components of expansion of space energy, the strategy and model of management in space, sustainable management of the space, effects on use of Nan-Hai Gallery, the space significance of Nan-Hai Gallery. Besides, this study shows suggestions as to the decision-making unit in the government, the owner of property right, the team managing Nan-Hai Gallery, and the future researchers.
