蛻變與成長──試析麥克.安迪《火車頭大旅行》及《十三個海盜》

Despite that Jim Knopf Und Lukas Der Lokomotivfuhrer and Jim Button and the Thirteen Wild Men are Ende’s initial works, the researcher thinks that they are full of childhood innocence and fun and easily ac-cepted by children. They are not inferior to the first two books at all. The researcher at-tempts to start with the analysis in this study and targets Jim Knopf Und Lukas Der Lokomo-tivfuhrer and Jim Button and the Thirteen Wild Men.
These two books are the modern fantasy literature works. With the basis of the first world, the author utilizes his imagination to create the scenes in the second world. The re-searcher attempts to analyze the scene structure in the second world in this article from the natural environment and social environment.

The researcher quotes the three stages, start of heroic journey-initiation-return of Campbell in combination of at home/away from home/returning home model to analyze how the author builds the hero image of Jim Button as well as the self-growth and changes of Jim Button after experiencing all these adventures, his process of quest. Moreover, figures are one of the elements of literary works. Through analyzing description of figures and establishment of roles in this article, the researcher has a glance at the vivid figure images, colorful story plots and the writing style of the Michael Ende’s philosophy in his usual humor.

In the conclusion, the researcher discusses how Michael Ende injects new life and direc-tions to create unique fantasy stories with his creativity and delicate touch for mythology, leg-ends and fairy tales.
