碩士 / 國立臺灣大學 / 土木工程學研究所 / 94 / The length of the Light Rail Vehicle is limited with the minimum block length and the minimum turning radius of the course. Different lengths would affect its working capacity, traffic and etc. Different cities have different lengths of the Light Rail Vehicle. Because we lack a system to measure the length of the Light Rail Vehicle, we usually take experienced engineers'' advices to take actions that suit the local circumstances. Therefore, we use VISSIM to be our simulation platform for this study. We put different lengths of the vehicle into a situation of different stopping spot ,traffic flow , and the vehicle services. As the result, we analysis the delays of Light Rail Vehicle,. We use “average vehicle delay” and “average person delay” to be performance evaluation indicators, and we also use different simulation results to model the regression formula of delays and variances in different lengths with multiple regression. Finally, we compare the different results that we got and find the better length for each circumstance. We hope it could be a reference for those who want to build the Light Rapid Transportation.
