碩士 / 靜宜大學 / 青少年兒童福利研究所 / 94 / Through the qualitative research, this study was to investigate the help-seeking process on facing parenting disturbance of foreign spouses from Southeast Asia, including has been experienced the stages and assistances which they need, various kinds of correlated factors affect help-seeking, the social support networks and they offer assistances. According to the result of the study, the researcher provides suggestions for the government, the school, the social welfare organization, specifically provide the social support or resources.
In order to achieve the purpose, this research takes foreign spouses from Southeast Asia who live in Sea-line Area in Taichung County as research object. Adopting the method of in-depth interview, we interviewed eight foreign spouses from Southeast Asia. The results of the study were as follows:
1. The「problem definition」 stage of on facing parenting disturbance of foreign spouses
from Southeast Asia.
(1) The reasons of on facing parenting disturbance of foreign spouses from Southeast Asia, may divide into individual and with the environment correlation.
(2) The foreign spouses from Southeast Asia probe ideas of her husband, the relatives, the friends or the school teacher. Regardless of the approval degree height, they all can diligently solve this disturbance.
2. The「strategy generation」 stage of on facing parenting disturbance of foreign spouses
from Southeast Asia.
(1) They mostly evaluate husband, the family members, the neighbors, the friends, the teachers and the doctors. After evaluating, they hope gain assistance which can divide into information support and tangible support.
(2) Various kinds of correlation factors affect help-seeking：
A. The factors of the foreign spouses from Southeast Asia are willing to help-seeking,
including individual, the children, the family and the object of help-seeking.
B. The factors of the foreign spouses from Southeast Asia do not or have not help-seeking to social support network or the public organization, including worried individual identity affects the children interpersonal relationship in the school, takes into exhorting of husband and they don’t know the specialized units which provide the service and the consultation.
3. The「act of help-seeking」 stage of on facing parenting disturbance of foreign spouses
from Southeast Asia.
(1) The real help-seeking experiences and feelings of the foreign spouses from Southeast Asia.
A. Help-seeking for husband, the neighbors, the friends, after-class cares to instruct the children schoolwork and it is helpful to solve the questions of the children’s schoolwork and study.
B. Elder''s experience sharing is helpful to establish the confidence of care for the children.
C. Relative''s positive response and assistance causes they to feel someone accompany them.
D. The neighbors and the friends share their experience which subject children and train life rules can be helpful to learn the different method.
E. The teacher''s zealous attitude and response are helpful to understand children’s campus lives and they can feel concern and pardon of teacher’s.
F. Escorts the children to after-class care can be helpful to solve the question of the after- school care and study talent and skill
G. Medical unit''s explanation can be helpful to understand correct medicine use and the way which care for health.
(2) The utilized condition of social welfare resources of foreign spouse form Southeast Asia.
Only one once received inform of the government to participate in course. But she can’t coordinate the course duration, so she only fugacious participates in the literacy education curriculum. Based on can obtain the correlated knowledge, she is willing to participate in the odd-numbered days curriculum of parent education.
