碩士 / 樹德科技大學 / 金融保險研究所 / 94 / It is known that offshore insurance policies have been selling through private banks, independent agencies and even some local broker/agency for years. Unless the government punishes the buyer, there is no effective method to stop the purchasing of offshore products at today’s open information age. Our article encourages the government to take an active role at managing the market place. The end result would be beneficial to the government and provide consumer protections. We also include information from Singapore and Malaysia.
