碩士 / 逢甲大學 / 科技管理研究所 / 95 / In the past, Taiwan businesses upgrade their competitive from manufacture to complete services. Especially, by the advantage of elasticity of value chain, Taiwan companies become the best partner of the other international business worldwide. However, with the change of environment, they are not only have to maintain the past competition, but also have to increase the scale and integrate several technologies into innovative products. Briefly speaking, more and more businesses need for M&A to increase their scale quickly to contend with other competitors in the world. In the process of grouping, managers need more knowledge and methods to figure out their business strategy, inclusive of technologies and management.
According to our literature review and observations of our electronic industry, we see more and more businesses increase their competition by the mode M&A. The past researches were focus on the influences of management, risk, finance, and the synergy of above. There are few researches try to find out the influences of technology view. Nevertheless, with the advance and importance of technologies, technology view becomes more important recently. By the relative international quantity research, we know the technology relation has important influence in a M&A and its effect. On the other hand, the real industry M&A case of Hon Hai shows the complementary technology and relative product are must be concerned and planned.
Our research tries to find out a realistic technology relation in a M&A by patent method. In our method, we make some amendment of method to figure out our more realistic and deeper technology relation than the past researches. Finally, we offer a realistic case study to prove some past result and find some difference of the past method and result, such as IPC and analysis processes.
