碩士 / 華梵大學 / 機電工程研究所 / 95 / The main purpose of this paper is to introduce the transportation information display panel that we use currently through the user demands, and explain the structure of the main software and hardware, and also the ways to test and to examine them. Due to drivers need to know about the travel environment of the freeway, the traffic whether safe and convenient or dangerous. It is necessary to set up transportation information display panel all over the freeway, to provide accurate and immediate traffic reports. However, how to display, what to display, and when to display, all these matters are affecting the safety of freeway. Because of the produce techniques of the light-emitting diode are improving and more and more productive, and the costs are getting cheaper. So the following development of freeway will be largely using light-emitting diode as display units to make the transportation information display panel. It is an important issue to make sure the drivers can understand the information provided by the transportation information display panel but how causes the driver to understand clearly.
Discussing the operation of light-emitting diodes used in the size, the display of the word amount, the luminance, and the legibility distance of the transportation information display panel from the main lanes of the freeway, interchanges, tunnel districts and other diverse sites. By means of the technical theory and the reference of current operation identity, light-emitting diodes are carried out by the use, the analysis and the principle of the use from transportation information display panel. And the analyzed result will be taken as the reference for the later users.
