Work Stress of The Financial-Management Personnel in The Basic Level of Military- An Example of Chinese Marine Corps / 國軍基層單位財務管理人員工作壓力之研究-以海軍陸戰隊為例

碩士 / 義守大學 / 管理研究所碩士班 / 95 / Due to the streamline of the structure of the armed force and the personnel in the basic level of Military downsizing, the workload of financial management personnel has significantly increased when compared to that in the past years. As a result of the transformation of social formation and the overall structure, the draftees have a vaguer concept about military service, observing the law and weaker stress resistance and physical strength. Accidents caused by work stress will not only affect individuals and their families, but also damage the image of the R.O.C. Army.
This study discusses the relationships between the sources of work stress and the stress responses for financial management personnel of the basic level at Marine Corps through questionnaires. The research results show that there are significant differences between “seniority” and “performance during training” of financial management personnel in terms of “technical use”, but there are no significant differences for “workload”, “leadership style”, and “role conflict”. There are no significant differences between other demographic variations (such as major, education background, category of military services, and rank) in terms of work stress sources. There is a significant difference between the “ranks” of financial management personnel and poor or good stress response. However, there are no significant differences between other demographic variations (seniority, major, education background, performance during training, and category of military services) and work stress response. Additionally, there are positive correlations between the assistance and auditing provided by the Auditing Department as well as poor and good stress response. There are no causal relationships in terms of poor stress response, but a causal relationship is demonstrated for good stress response. The following recommendations are made based on the results:
1. People who are attending the financial management training courses shall increase their physical activity levels to avoid admission disqualification due to failure of passing the evaluation test.
2. Allow non-finance majors to serve as the financial management personnel to improve the current personnel shortage problems. Additionally, the Ministry of National Defense shall also develop a plan to recruit volunteering soldiers to avoid frequent personnel rotation and maintain experience inheritance.
3. The Auditing Department shall improve their professional knowledge and abilities, and provide guidance and assistance for financial management personnel from a professional perspective, so that the financial management personnel can be quickly adapted to the overall operation system in order to avoid mental or physical discomfort due to work stress.
