Moreover, the developed countries can provide excellent productivity and the ever-rising domestic market demand in which Taiwan-funded enterprises have been attract by those reason. In last 10 years, Taiwan's enterprises aggressively to expand overseas territories such as in Mainland China; but in recent years founded, that Global semiconductor Intel has invested into Vietnam region , in which, Vietnam has become another attractive territory for the semiconductor industry to entered. With the opening of the Grand Canal in Thailand that would make global strategy in the Asian shipping lines have a significant change. For the Taiwan's IC packaging companies, in order to reduce the market development costs, and able to access to the European market, directly consider to investing Vietnam for market distribution. If majority follow the footsteps of the others to enter mainland China's semiconductor market, it only become another battlefield for price competition from Taiwan moved to mainland China.
The semiconductor packaging industries will be taken for case studies, the use of analytical hierarchy process research will be taken. Through the research studies, to come up with the evaluation criteria which has been consider for Taiwan IC packaging companies in overseas investment and expansion. Followed by the choice of cross-comparison of the factors analyzed in between China and Vietnam, analysis which will be a lower investment risks, higher return and the probability of success within. Above summarizes the findings and allow to establish of the future direction of Taiwan's IC industry, and able to share the advantages of overseas expansion plan.
