A Study of the Perceived Important Factors and Feasibility of the Industrial Tourism Development of Taiwan / 臺灣國際造船公司發展產業觀光之重要因素及可行性認知之研究

碩士 / 國立高雄應用科技大學 / 觀光與餐旅管理研究所 / 95 / The purpose of this study is to investigate the perceived influential factors and feasibility of the tourism development of Taiwan Ship Building Company. This study used both quantitative and qualitative methods to collect data from February 5 to 16, 2007. The subjects were selected by convenient quota sampling from employees of TSBC, tourism practitioners, governmental employees and general public. The total number of questionnaires were sent was 240, 60 for each group, and the number of effective returned questionnaires was 203 (84.58%). The questionnaire included personal information, travel characteristics and influential factors relating to the tourism development of TSBC. Data analysis methods included descriptive statistics, t test, one way ANOVA and reliability analysis. In addition, three subjects from Public Relations, Engineering and Administrative sectors separately were interviewed. The topics included type, potential, influential factors, benefits, traffic, recreational facility, marketing strategies and so on. The results showed that the tourism development of TSBC needs to be planned carefully especially because TSBC is both a state run business and a manufacturing factory so that the financial investment will be limited, the leading influential factors of the tourism development of TSBC are government support and the enhancement of company image, and the subjects expressed they satisfied with the safety measures most during present situation.
