Posing optics axis of fisheye cameras and applied to 3D metrology / 魚眼鏡頭光學軸的定位方式及三維量測應用

碩士 / 明志科技大學 / 機電工程研究所 / 96 / Due to the characteristic of the ultra-wide view angle of fisheye lenses, the range of the application of the fisheye lens would be broadly. However, all the fisheye lenses suffer from a serious barrel distortion. How to restore the problem will be the main topic for us. That is, we had already developed a rectify system which can successfully find the laws of all kinds of the fisheye lens in forming the images. Although different fisheye lenses have different projection modes, our rectify system could solve all of the problems which are made by the fisheye lens.

Exploring the optics of the fisheye lens camera precisely based on the inherent optical propertied of lens is the kernel achievement. We have emulated the aged multi-collimator based on an active physical concentric pattern (PCT) generated on a TFT panel.

Our methodology has circumvented the traditional way in processing fisheye optic which requires having a circular frame image via certain types of cameras and lenses. The method located the image center easily but exploring no spatial optic information such as the projection curve, the optic center, and the focal length. Nevertheless, it only worked for strictly specified optical camera apparatus. Our system have freed from the said limits, and worked on a commonly accessible fisheye camera.

The developed software applying the patent methodologies of the Epsilon and the Sigma deductive methods has not only located he planar image center but also simultaneously poses the spatial optical axis precisely as well as derived the parameters afforded to deduct an effective vision model. Finally, we apply the parameterized fisheye camera to set up 3D metrological applications. A practical result is obtained.
