An Empirical Study of Vehicle Navigation System Applying Behavioral Intentions / 汽車導航系統採用行為意向之實證研究

碩士 / 國立勤益科技大學 / 工業工程與管理系 / 95 / The global researches of navigation technology generally focus on the improvement of user interfaces, errors and diversities of information. It fails to equip with designated functions due to numerous, complex mutual interruptions. On the basis of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the viewpoints of perceptive risks, this research focuses on the construction of behavioral intentions of correlation model of adopting personal GPS vehicle navigation system as well as influential variables. It proves the 8 hypotheses that perceived behavior control correlates with the behavioral intentions of adopting vehicle navigation system. It explores the significant influential factors of behavioral intentions of adopting vehicle navigation system, in order to understand the correlational strength of every variable in the research model. This research adopts methodology of investigation of applying Structure Equation Modeling (SEM) and implements data analysis and model verification via collected questionnaires.
The research structure of behavioral intentions of adopting vehicle navigation system includes an independent variable of behavior intention, middle variables of perceived behavior control, subjective norm concerning the behavior and attitude as well as a dependent variable of behavior intention. This research verifies the 8 hypotheses where 7 out of 8 are supported. It illustrates that (1) the perceived behavior control of the evaluation of needed materials and opportunities will influence significantly the adoption of subjective norm concerning the behavior and behavior intention; (2) After taking subjective norm concerning the behavior into consideration, the behavior intention of adopting vehicle navigation system increases considerably; (3) the attitude of adopting vehicle navigation system affects subjective norm concerning the behavior and increases notably the adoption will of behavior intention; (4) the higher the behavior intention of adopting vehicle navigation system is, the more effective the perceived behavior control and attitude of contributing effect; (5) it is not supported that subjective norm concerning the behavior, via nearby influential persons like relatives, affects behavior intention.
The research results can be divided into two aspects: (1) as far as an academic achievement is concerned, it establishes a conceptual model and measure table of effecting the adoption of vehicle navigation system for future researchers; (2) it implicates practically that the research results can provide references for relative industries to understand the behavior intention of consumers and better service.
