碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 系統及船舶機電工程學系碩博士班 / 95 / The mathematical model of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells is used for simulating the characteristics of output voltages and currents of PEM fuel cells in this thesis. In order to study the feasibility of PEM fuel cells for applications in auxiliary power in ships, this thesis uses a dc-to-ac power converter to convert the dc voltage to ac voltage and a transformer to step up the ac voltage to 120 volts for supplying to the loads of a ship. Meanwhile, the effects of loads changes on the power generation of PEM fuel cells are investigated.
