碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 高階管理碩士在職專班 / 95 / The three major purposes of this study are:(一)What are the factors that affect investment entry modes of Taiwan electronic industry;(二) What are the factors that affect the operating performance of Taiwan electronic industry; (三) And what extent are the investment entry modes and its operating performance of Taiwan electronic industry related?
This study examines the operating performance and China investment of electronic industries in Taiwan according to the yearly 2003 to 2005, collect 3 years financial information from the 254 listed on TSE and ROSE companies in Taiwan. The sources of the main data are the TEJ database, regression models are established and deal with E-VIEW.
According to the regression result shows there are significant positively effects between the operating performance of Taiwan electronic industry and its overseas investment entry modes .The higher ownership controlled strategy in China of Taiwan business, the higher of operating performance; R&D、local potential market have significant positively effects on investment entry modes but negatively affected by the China experiences、operating risk、labor cost. The China experiences、sale growth rate、local potential market and investment entry modes have significant positively effects on operating performance but negatively affected by operating risk、labor cost. The lower operating risk and labor cost, the higher of operating performance. The result of this study can provide valuable information to electronic industries as they make decision of investment in China.
