A Study of Professional Competence for Shipping and Transportation Graduates in Vocational High Schools / 高職航運管理科畢業學生應具備專業能力之研究

碩士 / 國立彰化師範大學 / 商業教育學系 / 95 / The main purpose of this study is to define, through analytic methods, the professional competence students should have acquired upon their graduation form vocational high schools, and accordingly design school courses for shipping and transportation management in vocational high schools. We used Delphi technique questionnaires twice. First, we explored the professional competence shipping and transportation management graduates should learn in vocational high schools. Second, we developed the school-based professional curriculums for shipping and transportation management in the future.
Major results are as follows: being interviewed, many experts in the shipping industry believe that people who want to be in the shipping and transportation field must acquire 15 items of the most important professional competency such as interpersonal relationship and communication etc. Furthermore, the educational experts of the shipping and transportation management contend that vocational high schools should offer 15 compulsory classes including human relations, communication , transportation , practice of international and so on. They also encourage the students to serve as cadre in class or association while in schools. In addition; the other 16 items of the professional competency are of benefit to the graduates as well, which can be offered as elective courses in the future.
