How Taiwanese Adolescent Interpret Popular Images of Idol Singer and Computer Game Posters / 台灣青少年對流行影像之解讀研究:以偶像歌手與電玩遊戲宣傳海報為例

碩士 / 國立彰化師範大學 / 藝術教育研究所 / 95 / The research purpose is analyzing Taiwanese adolescent interpretation of the popular images in posters through questionnaire survey and interview, and advance to explore the interpretative differences affected by zealous participation or not of the idolatry subculture and the computer game subculture.
This research focuses on qualitative research, and uses two research ways on questionnaire survey and deep interview. In the questionnaire survey part, the study tool is from the questionnaire “An Interpretation Study of Taiwanese Adolescent for The Popular Cultures’ Images ---- A Case Study on The Idol Singer and The Computer Game Posters” which is arranged. The analysises are based on data collected from 180 survey respondents who are junior high school and senior high school students from North、Middle and South Taiwan. In the interview part, the study tool is from the interview guide ” An Interpretation Study of Taiwanese Adolescent for The Popular Cultures’ Images ---- A Case Study on The Idol Singer and The Computer Game Posters” which is arranged. The analysises are based on data collected from 20 interview respondents who are junior high school and senior high school students from South Taiwan. According to the response, the major findings are as follows:
1. In process of the interpretation of the popular cultures’ images, Taiwanese adolescent
bring culture and social experience of themselves to link and interact with images, and
construct each meaning and the mode of interpretation.
2. Zealous participant and non-zealous participant of idolatry subculture use similar way to
interpret “cognition and association”, “experience and practice” and “fondness and
judgment” of the image in idol singer poster.
3. Zealous participant and non-zealous participant of computer game subculture have
similar interpretation of “cognition and association” of image in computer game poster,
but have different interpretation genres of “experience and practice” and “ fondness and
judgment”.
