Diet and Hibatat Preference of Hynobius arisanensis in Alishan Areas / 阿里山地區阿里山山椒魚食性與棲地利用之研究

碩士 / 國立嘉義大學 / 生物資源學系研究所 / 95 / Abstract
Hynobius arisanensis belongs to family Hynobius and it’s an
endemic Urodela species in Asia, mean while, it is the only group solely distribute in subtropical area. At present, Chia-Yi Forest District Office of Taiwan Forestry Bureau has a restoration project in this area. Researches
most focused on taxonomy and population dynamics, and not on its diet. The imformation of its diet and habitat preference would be helpful to apply to restoration plot habitat or wasabi farm management. Sweepnet (SWP) and pitfall traps collection were conducted from October 2004 to
January 2006, a total numbers of 6 classes, 25 orders, 103 families and 23137 insect individuals were collected. To get the stomach contains of Hynobius arisanensis by forced flushing, than analyze the three sampling plots, including nature forest, wasabi farm and fallow wasabi farm at Alishan area, and discuss the relationship between diet and habitat preference. The results showed that food of Hynobius arisanensis were mainly consists of arthropods, and the most abundant orders were Coleoptera(17%),Isopods(11%), Lepidoptera(10%) and Araneae(9.3%). Ground moving Arthropods are accounted for the highest proportion(83.8%). The data have showed that this species was polyphagous (H= 23.44,P< 0.22), and different habitat has shown different diet preference. Among the three habitat plots’ types, the
similarity of invertebrate and habitat, the highest in the wasabi farm and fallow wasabi farm, the most high diversity is nature forest (0.63). The body size has a positive relationship with diet size selection.
