A Study of Substance Flow of Copper and Zinc in Integrated Culture / 重金屬銅、鋅在漁牧共養型態養豬業的物質流研究

碩士 / 國立東華大學 / 環境政策研究所 / 95 / Pig wastewater produces a large amount of nitrogen and phosphorous as well as heavy metal which are also important pollutant from pig farms. The major reason is because pig farm owners added copper and zinc into pig feeds which more than standard amount. Shoufong and Yuli in Hualian county have abundant groundwater to develop integrated culture. Integrated culture became the main breed mode in Shoufong and Yuli gradually. However, to discharge pig wastewater into fish pond over a long period of time will cause copper and zinc accumulating in sediment, fish and clam.
This study was concerning certain integrated culture pig farms in Shoufong., collecting ten sediment samples of fish pond, clam pond and channel, than using NIEA R353.00C acid digestion method to analyze concentration of sediment samples and establish a SFA(Substance Flow Analysis)model to analyze copper and zinc flow. According to SFA result, ten years copper estimated accumulation was from 208~360 kg, actual accumulation was 204 kg without Solid-liquid separation equipment. Ten years zinc estimated accumulation was from 280~440 kg, actual accumulation was 361 kg without Solid-liquid separation equipment. Ten years copper and zinc estimated accumulation was from 101~253 kg and 13~172 kg, brought 107 kg and 273 kg pig manures to environment. When copper and zinc in pig feeds increase, will reflect in environment obviously. With Solid-liquid separation equipment situation, copper and zinc not only accumulate in fish pond and clam pond but also in fish and clam. Without Solid-liquid separation equipment situation, accumulation of copper and zinc in fish pond and clam pond were lower than with Solid-liquid separation equipment situation because pig feces won’t wash into fish pond, it fertilize in cropland.
This study revealed that livestock organizations should enhance auditing content of copper and zinc in animal feeds, track accumulation of copper and zinc in pig manure which fertilize the cropland, provide pig farm owners education of pig feeds heavy metal content and environmental protection of pig farm, draw up strategy of integrated culture pig farms which set up Solid-liquid separation equipment and establish Taiwan pig farms SFA database.
