碩士 / 國立新竹教育大學 / 應用科學系碩士班 / 95 / In this years, people pay more and more attention to the pollution of heavy metal in seafood. Therefore, we investigate degree of heavy metal pollution in Sien-San Wetland through studing Laternula marilina. In 2006, Laternula marilina sampling was conducted each month at five different soil types of Sien-San Wetland, for the investigation of growth and heavy mental accumulation.
The following are the results of this study:
1. The Von Bertalanffy growth equation of Laternula marilina is that:
Lt=52.76[1-e-3.5(t+0.037)+(3.5/2π)sin2π(t-0.167)]. The growth of Laternula marilina to the maximum body lengths need 10-12 months, the growth rate increase quickly at the middle of May,the growth rate decrease to zero at the middle of September. The population almost died out on December. The coefficient of instantaneous mortality rate is 25.62. There were two recruitment periods for Laternula marilina. The major one began at January and the recruitment was much more than the minor one occurred at June.
2. The content of Cd, Cu, Cr and Pb in Laternula marilina from Sien-San Wetland was higher than background. Although eating Laternula marilina of Sien-San Wetland won’t harmful immediately, but in this study still sugguest that avoid have it. In the other invertebrates from Sien-San Wetland, Bivalvia, Polychaeta and Sipunculus nudus have higher ability of heavy mental accumulation than crab. The oyster (Crassostrea gigas) has the highest ability of Zn and Cu accumulation. The Laternula marilina has the highest ability of Cd, Cr, Ga, In, Ni, Pb, Mn, Al and Fe accumulation, especially the content of In, Mn, Al, Fe are much higher than other species.
