The contents of abstract in this thesis:
The primary purpose of this study was to probe consumer behavior of recreational fishery, and to perform a recreation motivation and satisfaction questionnaire in Tungkang Fishing Harbor. A total of 18sampling days were taken on Saturday and Sunday during June 3 – July 30, 2006, with 450 valid questionnaires collected.
To understand the statistical differences and relationships among consumer characteristics, recreation behavior, motivation and satisfaction, this study exhibited Chi-square and t-test, analysis of variance and Pearson’s correlation coefficient under SPSS 10.1 software package to analyze the collected questionnaire.
The main results were as follows:
1. Most tourists are first time to visit Tungkang Fishing Harbor. Their resident time is most by half day-long. Their disbursement is below 500NT. The relative accompanies goes to visit (> 4 people) are with the family and/or friends. Their recreation purpose is for a special visit. Most of them are voluntary driver and their major source of information is from the relatives and friends.
2. Most tourists are female fallen within a 21-30 years old group. Their occupation and education level is industrial/businesses and university, respectively. Most of their marital status is single. They live in southern area of Taiwan with a monthly personal income and family income between 20,001NT-30,000NT and 50,001NT-100,000NT, respectively.
