碩士 / 國立屏東科技大學 / 生物機電工程系所 / 95 / To meet the regulations required by international organization on the Public Ocean, our country needs to utilize a simple and time-saving scientific method to collect the fish biometric information. In this research, we developed a simple and quick-changeable auto imaging system for loglines tuna boat. The system equipped with image processing capability was able to calculate the fish length via the imaging system or automatic approach. Results showed that the tuna length measuring program in this system was with an average of 4.6% error in manual operation mode; while in automatic measuring, the error was 3.6% on the average. Successful rate for auto measuring mode was about 44%, due to improper labels and position. The fish length could be recorded in accordance with GPS data that allowed us to identify the location of fishing boat. The information includes longitude and latitude, date, and time. The information together with the fish images will be helpful in resource analysis and management for domestic or international purpose.
