碩士 / 國立屏東科技大學 / 環境工程與科學系所 / 95 / Serpentinites are ones of ultramafic rocks. The serpentinitic soils are characterized as following: (1) soils fertility is relatively low、such as low availability of N、P and K and unbalance in nutrition (Ca/Mg < 1.0)、(2) lithiogenic enrichment of heavy metals like Mg and Fe but low concentrations of Si and Ca、(3) talc fiber derived from serpentinitic rocks is easily released into the environment to cause the damage of ecological and human health、and (4) the soil is shallow and dry and to have poor vegetation. In this study、two serpentinitic area having a total of 6 soil pedons were selected along toposequences in Coastal Range of Taiwan. They are summit (Wm-1 and St-1)、backslope (Wm-2 and St-2) and toeslope (Wm-3 and St-3). The aims of this study are to explore the profile distributions of base cations and heavy metals in explaining the mobility and bioavailability of Cr,Ni、Fe and Mn by different extraction methods. Results show that the soil textures are clay、clay loam、sandy clay loam and silty clay loam. Regarding with Cr、the maximum contents were 1,790 mg/kg in Wm-1 pedon of Fuli area、and 3,297 mg/kg in St-3 pedon of Taitung City、respectively. However、the maximum contents of Ni were higher than those of Cr. The maximum contents of Ni were 1,584 mg/kg in Wm-1 pedon of Fuli area、and 4,054 mg/kg in St-3 pedon of Taitung City. It is noticeable that some of the study soils were developed from serpentine spoils by mining activities、so that the concentrations of Cr and Ni varied with soil depth. Nevertheless、household agencies need further approaches for the serpentine soils which are over the control standards. The accumulation of clay and DCB-extractable Fe、Mn、Cr and Ni reflect different degrees of soil pedogenesis. The pedons St-2 and St-3 are the highest in DCB-extractable such metals. Most chemical fractions of Cr and Ni are associated with oxides and residual fractions; however、the acid and reduciable fractions are very low. Ni and Cr are almost fixed in silicate structures. This means the bioavailability of Ni and Cr is very low.
